Act 67: Vermont’s Community Schools Act

While policy is not “the answer” to the challenges we face, it can be an important part of the solution. The implementation of H.106 has the potential to open doors for intersectional collaboration and change towards a much larger vision for community and school transformation.

“Community Schools are not programs. Rather, they are a fundamental rethinking of how to deliver public education.” - VT Agency of Education

Pilot grants for 2021-2024 were awarded to: Addison Northwest SD (Vergennes Union Elementary School), Caledonia Central SU (Cabot School), North Country SU (district-wide), Orleans Southwest SU (Hazen Union High School), and White River Valley SU (WRV Middle School)
